  •  I will select teaching approaches, resources, technologies, learning experiences and assessments that are inclusive and effective for diverse students

Consider what success in these areas might look like and what approaches you could use to continue learning post workshop. 
  •  I think success in the area of being inclusive and effective looks like better collaboration with the classroom teachers. I am the SEN teacher, so my life is inclusion and making sure everything is effective for our diverse students. The thing I have to develop and improve is being a better collaborator in order to be a better SEN teacher. 
  •   Success in promoting reflection and action is involving both of those things in my teaching of students. I want to work to help my students be better inquirers and promote their agency and ability to be involved in action
Consider what evidence would demonstrate your growth as a PYP educator.
  •  I think the best evidence is my student meeting their goals that we set at the beginning of the school year. Meeting goals means they have improved and improvement means everything is happening correctly.
Finally, in the Final reflections forum of the conclusion section write a short commentary based on the following prompts: 

  • How has agency been supported and nurtured through this workshop?
    • the use of a variety of tools to promote our learning  
    • The use of multiple options in the products we are creating.
    • The ability to express our ideas in the best way for ourselves. 
    •  It seemed that there was a gradual opening up of how much we could choose our own way of expressing our ideas
How is my understanding of PYP principles and practices evolving?
  • It has evolved from a broad understanding to a much deeper understanding of how the pyp is structured and implemented. I feel I can now use the PYP to support my students in class and in support lessons.

In what ways can I apply learning from this workshop in my own learning and teaching?
  • I will be able to apply my learning by both better supporting the PYP classroom teachers in the classroom environment. By helping to adapt PYP curriculum to my SEN students. Also by better being able to support my students with their inquiry and action.

how is my understanding of PYP principles and practices evolving? I am learning more indepth knowledge of what the PYP is and how it is best implemented.  I am learning more about myself as a global citizen and how to encourage and influence my students to be globally minded and internationally conscious.  I am learning about the role of language in the PYP and how the PYP creates and supports multi-lingual students. in what ways can I apply learning from this workshop in my own learning and teaching? I most connected with teh section about language and how it is used in the PYP.
