How is my understanding of PYP principles and practices evolving?
  • My understanding is evolving by reading the PYP principals to practices, and therefore gaining new knowledge and incite into how to best use the PYP in my work. 
  • I am evolving by thinking ciritically about how I best use the PYP as an SEN teachers. 
In what ways can I apply learning from this workshop in my own learning and teaching?
  • I really liked the ladder refection activite about how to achieve a desired situation. I want to use this to brainstorm about how to better my own practices.
  •  I also want to focus on ATLs with my SEN students.  
How is agency supported and nurtured through this workshop?
  • I think that agency is supported through the use of a variety of activities.
  • It is also supported through using both independent and group work. 
  • It is also supported through the use of activities that can be directly used by the learners in their daily lives. 

What is your learning about the key elements of the PYP framework that promote transdisciplinary learning and teaching?
  •  I have leared about how to best express transdispilinary learning to the learner.
  • I have learned how to better collaborate with my peers. 
How you are applying your learning about transdisciplinarity in your school?
  • We have monthly transdisciplinary meetings that allow us to collaborate across all subject areas. This is helpful to make sure we are all covering our parts the best way possible for the students. 
  • I would actually like to have more PD about the transdisciplainary process with my co-workers.
How are you using concepts to help students make meaning of and connections to their learning?
  • At this time I am not using the concepts, but I hope to figure out how to bring them into my work. As SEN it is not something that is automatic.
How are the approaches to learning contributing to student agency as they develop their skills to think, research, communicate, socialize and manage themselves effectively?
  • I like the ATLs! I am all about teaching my students how to be humans and the ATLs encompass all the skills I already focus on. I think that as teachers we should focus more time on developing students as good, healthy (mentally and physically) persons. the ATLs address this. If thy don´t have these skills then they will not be able to develop their own agency.

how is my understanding of PYP principles and practices evolving? I am learning more indepth knowledge of what the PYP is and how it is best implemented.  I am learning more about myself as a global citizen and how to encourage and influence my students to be globally minded and internationally conscious.  I am learning about the role of language in the PYP and how the PYP creates and supports multi-lingual students. in what ways can I apply learning from this workshop in my own learning and teaching? I most connected with teh section about language and how it is used in the PYP. I am able to use this knowledge to better support my students in their language support.  I also can apply my better understanding of the LPs when speaking to parents about their use and benefit within our school.  how is agency supported and nurtured through this workshop?
